Sorry about the extra-long title, but no other way to convey the striking similarities. I’ve already posted one of these, but I thought it would be great to put them together:

“Mehnat Kasht Insaan” from Insan Jaag Utha (1959), with vocals by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi, music by S.D. Burman. Not sure what Sunil Dutt’s role is here, but Madhubala is clearly a construction laborer.

“Gore Gore Hath” from Bindiya (1960) with Asha and Rafi singing together again (to music by Iqbal Qureshi), while Padmini acts as the laborer and Balraj Sahni acts as the construction supervisor.

Wow, it must have been fun to be a construction worker in late ’50s/early ’60s India! Or maybe that was just in the movies?
