Yes, I did wonder about that, too… what is Bol?
(BTW, that man looked so much like Salman Rushdie at first fleeting glance – and we’ve been hearing so much about him in the Indian press these days – that I blinked and had to go back and see all those screenshots all over again).

Oh I loved these bits from the movie Bol. The interactions between the brothel owner, and the very conservative hakim were so revealing. I liked the movie in bits and pieces. It was kind of unweildy, with too many issues being examined and flung into the story.
This reference to Pakeezah was really endearing.
